CEO & Co-Founder

T.J. Coveyou is the CEO and Co-Founder of Newport Capital and other businesses within the Newport Real Estate Partners umbrella. In addition to serving as Head of the Investment Committee and overseeing platform operations, he is responsible for managing investor relationships and reporting to REIT shareholders.

Mr. Coveyou has over two decades in commercial real estate experience including fund management and property acquisition, management and disposition. He is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Newport Private Group and sits on numerous company boards within the consolidated NPG structure.

Mr. Coveyou received his MBA in Strategic Management from Temple University, after graduating cum laude with a B.S. in Marine Transportation from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, where he was appointed Regimental Commander. He has also served as a Third Mate in the Merchant Marine and as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, working in more than 20 countries around the world.
