CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

T.J. Coveyou is the CEO of Newport Capital, a leading private lending platform that provides capital to owners and developers of residential and commercial real estate assets across the capital stack. In this capacity Mr. Coveyou also serves as the Investment Committee and oversees all operations of the lending platform.

Mr. Coveyou has over two decades in commercial real estate experience including fund management and property acquisition, management and disposition. He has been instrumental in building the operating platform of a series of funds at Newport that have sourced more than 1000 distressed properties between 2009 and 2012.

Mr. Coveyou received his MBA in Strategic Management from Temple University, after graduating cum laude with a B.S. in Marine Transportation from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, where he was appointed Regimental Commander. He has also served as a Third Mate in the Merchant Marine and as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, working in more than 20 countries around the world.
